Hopper 3 385 update

Did anyone ever see an H384?

I had to prompt it three times to manually do the update.

It is finally getting the green progress bar.

We'll see what I get.

They still haven't fixed the problem of being unable to delete recordings. It wants me to press the blue button and there is no blue button on the 54 remote. The blue button doesn't work on the 40 remote either.

Just forced updated about 5 hours ago on the Hopper H3 on H383 to H385 with Hopper Plus on P13106 to P13112.

It appears that the current version(s) of DISH equipment on AndroidTV software are as follows:
Joey4 P53112
Wireless Joey4 P63112
Hopper Plus P13112

Have the same issue as mentioned with H383 and earlier after updating.
The bar chart shows the DVR % is visible which for me is 100% even though there is 120GB of free space left on the internal HDD.

The issue of skipping to the beginning and end appears to be fixed from brief testing.

So still the three major issues:

Issue #1
H385 still has the issue where 119GB-120GB free is considered 100% full on the HDD so the last 119GB-120GB can't be used at all. The fix is either make it available with the correct % remaining or treat the HDD as 120GB less in capacity so the % meter for what's used is correct.

Issue #2
H381
, H382, H383, and H385 has the issue where the Remote Control Mode Reminder Notification Mode Reminder Notification is always on where it will display that the remote needs to be in SAT mode when on TV and AUX even when Settings -> Notifications -> Remote Control Mode Reminder is set to Off. This was originally discovered by Pepper.

Issue #3
H383 and H385 and possibly earlier version(s) I may not be aware of has this issue where randomly, as we all know there is the 1 hour buffer on the current channel but let's assume the current time is a new program which was on for 10 minutes, it will not allow rewinding past the start of the current program as the buffer would be gone for anything before that part so one can only rewind back the the beginning of the current program and not the previous program. I believe what RTCDude mentioned in Hopper 1 Software H183, Hopper 2 Software H283, Hopper 3 Software H383, Hopper Duo Software H483 and Hopper Plus Software P13106 released & available might be related.

Also, to add is the black screen upon H+ and J4 startup. Is Dish going to ever fix this issue?

It seems like there are still problems with playback in H385 as mentioned at Hopper 3 skipping a dvr show issues as I tried to skip, it went all the way to the beginning of the buffer.

Josh.M and brittanygarden

What I noticed is interesting is that I never change the channel and the box is always on so assuming it's already 5PM or 6PM, the nightly reboot is at 1AM but the buffer seems to start at 3:01AM which is 14Hr-15Hrs earlier as I always thought the buffer is supposed to be only 1 hour at the maximum so even when you rewind to the beginning, it seems to fit the content of the 1 hour on that entire yellow bar from 3:01AM to 5PM. So it seems that unless the program I am trying to watch has not finished, I couldn't get back to the previous program if a new show has already started.

I have Hopper3 with H385 that was updated 11/22/24.
This just happened to me last night -when I set up a manual timer for a recording (not PTAT enabled) for any shows airing on the locals ABC,CBS,NBC,FOX during the primetime hours of 8pm - 10pm - they record fine. But if I start to watch a playback of recording same night as it is still recording - the FFWD is not available. It indicates "Live TV" on the screen when I press FFWD, but the show has now already finished airing, so it is not "live" any longer. The recording continues to playback, with commercials not able to be skipped. so I am able to watch the show, just not FFWD.
This morning, I see the "autohop" indicator on the show, so I went back to that show, and started to watch from start -- it works find -- I can FFWD and use autohop.
Anyone else notice this happening since H385? Wondering if this is a known issue, I haven't contacted Dish yet about it.

Here's the response from chatting with Dish:
This is actually a known software issue that our engineering team is currently working to resolve. We will need to gather some information from your receiver so that we can report that you have also been affected by this. I apologize that there is no immediate solution to your issue. However, we will use the information I submit to attempt to replicate and research your issue. If it's identified, we will attempt to correct it on our end by sending a software update. I apologize at this time we do not have an estimated time for resolution for this issue. Please allow some time for our engineering department to research and resolve this.

Got H386 today!
And every bug I reported since H381 is still there! Yay, I guess.

brittanygarden Josh.M can we get these reported to the developers please?
