First Look: The New Weather Channel Interactive

My 622 has it - well, 1/2 of the Functionality

I just got home and checked - my 622 has it also.

HOWEVER-

I can only get to it via Channel 100.

I am not receiving any prompt during the Local on the 8's segment - and therefore, am not seeing the "local weather slideshow" that was displayed in the 1st post of this thread. Not sure if anyone else is actually seeing this.

As was stated, it took a bit to download my city info the 1st time - but now it's quite fast.

My 211 has it listed in the menu on Channel 100 - but states it is still unavailable.

That isn't working yet, humm. ANYONE WHO HAS THE FEATURE, please report on it and mention what reciever it is working on.

I have a 721 and have it on channel 100 but not on 214. Is it suppose to be on 214 also?

I'm doing a hard reset on my 721. Not that I intended to- I foolishly went to 100 and selected TWC from there. Sure enough, the video stays on 100 and the audio goes to whatever channel I input. Same old bug. Maybe when it resets completely, I'll have the feature.

Yes it is, but maybe they are putting it on channel 100, to see if it works, and then put it on 214. I don't know though.

Ok so I know now of at least 5 people who have it now, 4 on here, and 1 from another site.

I have it on the menu on channel 100 of my ViP211, but when I choose TWC Weather, it says that it is not available yet. Check back periodically.

I just checked my other two receivers (301). It is working and active on Channel 100.

Works on my 721 and at least 1 of my 301s. Not from channel 214 though.

Has anyone that saw the not available screen seen this actually show up later. Or has everyone that has it just gone straight to it.. I am suspect of the not available screen.

In addition, My caller Id has gone wacko on all 3 receivers since the addition of this new menu item.. Now we all know that can't happen.

I don't have a 721. Does it have a menu option for enabling enhanced TV options? I don't have the TWC on my 625 yet (just the menu option). The reason I ask about the enhanced TV settings is that I have to have it turned on to check horse racing results on TVG while I'm watching the channel. On my 625 this is done by pushing menu 6-1-7 and then enabling TV Enhancements

I now have it on my 510 in addition to my 622, works the same and is only on channel 100 so far

What is it doing? My 625 picture keeps screwing up every time the phone rings. I disabled it for now.

I don't think the channel 214 interactive is here yet. The DiSH Home interactive version is likely a different App.

Well, it's just being wacky.. It freezes when the phone rings.. Caller ID also is not showing when the phone rings.. And I just did a diagnostic on the 625 and it showed no phone conected.. Reset fixed that for now.. Just seems to be buggy on all three boxes.
