Sad but not surprising.
These new discussions suggest that Apple is preparing to implement an ad-supported tier on its streaming service, similar to moves made by competitors such as Netflix, Disney+, and Amazon Prime Video

If this simply means that they introduce a new service tier at roughly half the cost, while keeping the current tier as-is (i.e. same price), then it's a good thing, IMO. What I'm afraid of, though, is that the current ad-free tier will see another price increase at the same time the cheaper ad tier is rolled out...Sad but not surprising.
