NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs

Boy, you sure can tell who the NBCSports media guys are rooting for.

According to them, they shouldn't have called the goal off, AND shouldn't have called the guy for tripping Z either.

Congrats to the Blackhawks and their fans. But also, congrats to a very gritty hockey team from Motown. I have as mush respect for the Red Wings organization as any team in sports. You Wings fans can hold your heads high!!

Well congrats to Chicago. They were down 3-1 in the series and they came back. Wings gave it their all but some stupid penalties cost them the game and the series. Hopefully next year they'll come back and make it all the way.

Wings are very young and gained very valuable experience in this playoff season.... I look for them to be right back next year.

And the announcers continue to harp on the call that negated the goal in regulation, saying the play should not have been called ... however, they never said anything about the CLEAR trip that wasn't called just before that scrum, and it's even in the SAME FRAME on the screen when you look at the video.

I would have never thought the Blackhawks would have come back after how bad they played at some points in the first 4 games of the series.

Pretty solid final 4 - the Western finals should be a treat.

I think we have a Boston-LA final, but that's just me.

Well, I wish it were the Wings the Kings were facing. No one (except maybe some fans out here) expect the Kings to beat the mighty Blackhawks. But, the lines have been drawn in the sand....er....ice and the Western Conference Finals are set to begin Saturday. Here's to a good series!

GO KINGS, GO!!!!

On paper you gotta like Pittsburgh and Chicago to win their Conference. However, I see two reasons this may not happen:

1. The Kings are a very physical team and will give the Blackhawks fits. The Wings surprised Chicago by tight checking (finally learned to play team hockey) and more physical play. However, Chicago was just too talented and, after adjustments, Detroit was not quite physical enough. LA is the real deal and their physical plays gives them a pretty good shot at keeping up in this series.

2. Pittsburgh is too talented and deep for Boston. However, the Bruins just keep winning and they don't quit...even when down in the third period. Although I would like to see Boston win this series, on paper is just doesn't seem possible. Good thing they play on ice and not paper.

I thought there were 2 big reasons why the Hawks feel behind in the first 4 games. 1. Jimmy Howard played outstanding and you could see how frustrated the Hawks were that they couldn't score. 2 Babcock totally outcoached Q. Game 5, Toews goal was huge. Gave him confidence and the team feeds off of him. Howard continued to play well, but Q made some moves that worked.

Hawks/Kings should be a good series, but we just saw a great series, fitting for the last Conference meeting for these 2 teams.

Talent- absolutely. Depth-VERY debatable.

Nobody can touch the Penguins top 8 to 10 players, but the Bruins are a VERY deep team. The Bruins have arguably the best 4th line in the NHL, and they can run 7 solid defensemen at you.

I still like the Pens in this series, but I would not be shocked by an upset.

But I bet you would be delighted and doing the Snoopy Happy Dance?
