Who's they, the NCAA?? The same group that let your boys play in the last Sugar Bowl instead of suspending them immediately??![]()
They played because the Sugar bowl didn't want a marquee game with back ups.

I just wish all of this crap gets finalized quickly so we can get on with just playing football. Get the couple years of being banned from a bowl + a few scholarships lost and move on. Just hearing about all of this is making me sick anymore. Its time to start a new chapter in OSU history books.
So many excuses, and blame on what other programs have done, or may have done. Ive kept out of this, but the more I read, the more I say to OSU fans, Man up.
Hell I went through it. Albert Means anybody? Roll Tide Roll? Is this thing on?
Admitting your team and those behind it messed up doesnt mean you are a crappy person. It just means you may catch crap for a while. It passes, and doesnt really matter.
We did wrong. So did yall. Take your punishment, and hopefully your higher ups will make sure it doesnt happen again.
Trust me, I hear about this pretty much every day in the news and on the radio here and it is making me sick. NCAA please finish the investigation and make your sentence known.
The problem here is that instead of investigating and determining the outcome, it has been dragged on and on and on every month this year they have been bringing sh*t up .
It's really nauseating ....
Right ..... when was that exactly ?
The excuses are all over this threadAlbert Means? Or the excuses?
Which Is why I assume he was asking about Means, but I wanted to clarify. The excuses are all over this thread
WOW
Stuff does tend to get dragged out when the head coach lies to the NCAA, the assistant coaches claim to have never noticed, the AD pays everybody off, and the college president makes jokes.
Outlaw State could have made this all go away a long time ago, by admitting what it did, and proposing a punishment that fits its actions.

Im surprised a fellow college football fan doesnt remember this. It was a big deal and came close to getting us the "death penalty" or at least there was alot of talk about it.
And it was pretty recent in that it all happened within the last decade of college football.
This must have been hush hush, it's the first I heard of it. I've been following College ball since I was a kid.
Now, are you guys saying that the Buckeye situation is the same ?
If you are, I have nothing more to say ..... the Buckeyes didn't come anywhere near the money involved in this case with ALL that was done.
That is MUCH more serious than a kid selling jewelry and getting a few tatoos.
Hush hush? It was a HUGE story. I dont know how you could have missed it.
And there is the excusing type posts I was talking about again. "well, it wasnt THAT bad". Yes jimbo, it really was. It may have been a different kind of scandal, but it was as bad when you consider your head coach was involved and tried to cover it up.
Money involved may not have been as high, but in our case it was a booster involved, and not as deep in the school itself.
In the case of OSU, it may very well be a lack of institutional control, which is what they went after us for.
Gotta love it, theres that OVERUSED phrase every Buckeye hater wants to use again "lack of institutional control"
Odd, I don't see that in the dictionary, how do you KNOW exactly what that is ?
You can throw that out for just about anything, it's an OPINION.
You could use that for ANYTHING to suit your purpose.
I guess you just didn't know where to look.Gotta love it, theres that OVERUSED phrase every Buckeye hater wants to use again "lack of institutional control"

I dont hate the Buckeyes, so I am not sure where you are getting that from. I guess anyone that doesnt make excuses for them is a hater now?
Also, lack of institutional control is not a new term for this situation, it was in use at least back to the Bama situation.
As for what it means, how else would you describe what is reported to have happened at OSU? The institution certainly didnt have a handle on the situation, because if they did, we wouldnt be having this conversation.
