2009 NBA Playoffs

Well the laziness bug has gotten the Nuggets tonight. I've seen better defense in all star games.

EDIT: Denver answers with a 14-2 run to close the half. That's a little more like it! :up

Great win by the Nuggets. They played terrible for most of the first half and come back to win it. Now they have a chance to bury the Lakers in Denver.

Denver gets the three-point win to even their series.

Once again, this was a GREAT game- this series is living up to the hype.

Two games with heart-stopping finishes- my GAWD, what a West Final this is!!!!!

Dang it. I went to bed when they were up by 13 in the second quarter.

Yup, Orlando is an excellent 3 point shooting team.
If they can stop Rashard Lewis, they will win it.
I am sure Cleveland will learn from their mistakes in this game, that is King James can't do it all by himself.

This is why I suggested at the beginning of the series that LeBron guards Rashard Lewis. Everyone thought I was crazy. Now you know why this boy is my #1.A concern after Dwight Howard.

cavs will win tonight. ;)

I'm curious to hear what you shoot at the golf course. I can't play for crap when I got things on my mind. Scratch that - I can play golf like crap anytime.

67* (5 under par with 2 bogies and 7 birdies).......

*Disclaimer: It was a 4 man scramble. ;) :)

I couldn't get my driver working yesterday. Everything was a slice. I think my group used about 4 of my drives in 18 holes. My irons on the other hand, oh my! I was in the zone. My balls were flying at the flagstick like it was a magnet. Plus, my short game was on too. I made two +30' putts and several more from within that range. All in all, my group used apx. 80% of my puts. So at least I contributed there.

Fun time though. It was sunny, 85ºF, not a cloud in the sky, with a slight wind so it wasn't too hot. Just what the doctor ordered to heal the soul. I'm in better spirits for tonight's Game 2. :)

I agree that last night's loss by Cleveland is no big deal. It was their first playoff loss and was by 1 point. Now the Cavs need to make some adjustments. Lebron was left to fend for himself because his teammates did nothing and they played little defense, kind of like the way the Cavs used to play. But they were up 16 before Orlando came back, so I'm confident the Cavs will improve. Last night was all about the Magic sending a message and stealing a game on the road. I think Game 2 will likely be a Cleveand rout. After Orlando beat Boston in Game 1 they let the Celtics destroy them in Game 2. No way they match the intensity Cleveland brings in the next one. What happens in Orlando will be interesting. The Magic will expect to win at home.

I agree with this assessment. You saw how our newly revamped offense is capable of in the first half. LeBron distributed the ball to everyone and the Cavs had no problem getting to the basket or finding Varajao down low for a quick layup. We went up by 16 playing like this.

Then, we got content with the lead. I've seen this before in the regular season and it may work with some teams, but not in the playoffs. The role players can't sit around and be "witnesses" while LeBron tries to do everything by himself. (Ie. dribble, dribble, shoot). They need to move without the ball and run their typical offense and not let-up.

The Cavs also need to stay commited on defense for a full game. Leting an opponent score 106 points is not our game. So far in the playoffs, opponents are averaging 78 ppg. Game 1 against Orlando was out of character.

talking about feeling sick, the nuggets must feel a little sick today thinking what could've been. they had that game 1. 2-0 going back home would've sealed the laker's fate. still, home court advantage is tipping now in denver's favor.

Very true....If the Lakers win the series, the Nuggets will be kicking themselves all off-season for what happened in game 1.

Finally, Game 2. Time to Get the Bad Taste Out of My Mouth

It's been 36 hours following the Game 1 ECF Loss by Cleveland. And I can tell you what, I'm ready for Game 2. It's time to eliminate the stink that's been lingering over Cleveland since Wednesday.

I knew fans in this city would be wigging out following the first loss and from what I can tell, I was right. This is why I am still avoiding local sports talk and the newspapers. We as Cleveland fans are way too fragile and sensitive to absorb such a heartbreaking loss. You know our history. It's been documented many times. We're like the nice-guy who always falls for the girl, then the girl dumps him. It's heartbreaking and hurts like hell every time it happens. Tonight, we stand up to that girl. We will be the one's doing the dumping from now on!!!!!!!

Tonight I will be in attendance for Game 2. What happened in Game 1 is done. It's in the past. Tonight is a new game. I am jacked! I'm laying it all on the line. All of my emotions will be spilled out in Quicken Loans Arena. Cleveland's 6th Man can't be wrong! The place will be rocking! Let's do this boys!

I think they would be better off leaving Lebron on Hedu. As long as the offense runs through Hedu....they will keep Lebron on him to deny Hedu getting the right pass to the right person. EVEN if they were to switch Lebron on Rashard...do you honestly think Anderson can KEEP UP with Hedu?? Nope...

...match-ups ....that what it comes down to.
