2009 NBA Playoffs

i was really upset at that 1sec mark but what a shot by james. wow!!!!!!!! if they go 0-2 it's over. wow!!!!!

What an ending- and HD saw it in person!

THAT was incredible.

My goodness- WHAT. A. SHOT.

LeBron pulls off a miracle to tie the series.

All I have to say- I can't wait for HD's reaction post.

That was incredible to see on TV- HD saw it LIVE!

This is why a game is never over until the final buzzer sounds. (see Denver/Dallas game 3 as well)

One of the biggest and BEST shots in NBA Playoff history!!!

WOW, are these Conference Finals good this year...........or what???!! :) :up:up

The match-ups are KILLING the Cavs in the 2nd half.....and the REFS have been extremely inconsistant in this game, they cannot decide whether to let them play or call ticky-tacky fouls...

I personally thought that the Cavs would win relatively handily tonight, but winning like THAT might actually benefit the Cavs more.

We shall see................................................

My question is- how will Orlando bounce back the rest of the series?

Miracle shots can demoralize a team- Sean Elliott in 1999, Robert Horry in insert-year, Michael Jordan in insert-year-here, Bird stealing the pass in 1987- (feel free to add other examples)

While all the above is true, if you told the Magic before Game 1 that they'd split the first two in Cleveland, they would have been very happy.

That being said, they had a golden oppurtunity to win BOTH games and couldn't close the deal. That has to be demoralizing.

I guess it will come down to their perspective.........

I don't know Bill....that is 2 straight nights of giving up HUGE leads. AND the 2nd nights lead was bigger than the 1st nights lead. You THOUGHT they had made the proper adjustments by the 2nd game.

Tell me, if someone tells you that the Cavs have a 23 point lead in the 2nd half...what is YOUR thought...?

...exactly....game over.

One ironic note- the Magic overcame these big deficits, the same team that had trouble themselves holding onto leads against the 76ers and Celtics.

That's why you have to give Orlando all the credit in the world. They could have mailed it in in the second half tonight (knowing that they already accomplished a split in Cleveland), but they didn't give up.

That being said, I'm not so sure that the Magic wouldn't have been better off losing by about 6-8 points after making that comeback.

I think what Reggie Miller said is SO true: the Magic WILL have to win another game in Cleveland before this series is over. The question is: Was TONIGHT their best shot?

Tonight was one of those rare games that you have to give BOTH teams all the credit in the world! :up

What can more demoralizing than have 16 and 23 point leads respectively and barely get out tied at 1?

I guess in the end, it depends who are you rooting for....both of us are rooting for opposite teams and both of us are looking at the outcomes as being half full for our teams of interest and half empty for the other....;)

But those teams posed some match-up issues for Orlando....and they exposed them.
THIS time....you can clearly see it is the other way around...

WILL won this game for Cleveland...Lebron's will.....not the Cavs supposed match-up advantages....

Know why I do not agree with that statement....because Orlando had done it TWICE. I mean you could have said that in the 1st game....doing it a 2nd time under MORE dire situation....being down 23....that is no fluke. The same could be said about the Cavs.....yeah, you could have chalked up Game 1 to a long lay off and being rusty, therefore blowing that big 17 point lead....but to do it AGAIN...and a bigger lead....??!! That was no fluke...and Lebron admitted to that with his interview with Craig Saeger...."we cannot blown these big leads....this is totally unacceptable....."
