HDCP affects Component hookups too?

I dont think so, thats why my Sling Box suggest using component hookups so they arnt blocked.

OK, that was the reason why we used the Component breakout cable for DTV at work. The television was too old to support the HDCP from the HDMI hookup. It worked fine with Component, albeit with some noise lines.
