Yamal 201 at 90.0°E (Russian)

Is it possible to get reception from this satellite from West side(Los Angeles).
Im interested only in Russian channels
Ftadirect have list of Free Channels in USA
Does it mean i can get all this channels in LA???
Im thinking what to buy CoolSat 4000 or Viewsat VS2000.
Representative from ftadirect suggest to go with Viewsat.
What is your opinions guys.Im very newbie,sorry if those questions was asked before,but i search forum and didnt find anything close.

I heard its like 600 channels available,what are they?

Unfortunately most of the stuff you'll want to receive is below the horizon for you. You're on the wrong coast to get the most out of FTA as much of the action is on the Atlantic birds that are at 60 degrees and below. You MIGHT be able to hit PAS-9 at 58 degrees but anything below that is gonna be tough to do without a clear shot at the horizon which you aren't gonna have unless you're out in the middle of nowhere or have the dish sky high.

A site that can tell you what's out there and show you the footprint for a given satellite is HTTP://www.lyngsat.com . Keep in mind if they say something's scrambled it likely IS NOT available and cannot be received by you. Also, anything in the clear now can and likely will be scrambled at any moment.
