Xenforo Upgrade

No changes have been made. I would try clearing your cache.
If it were a cache issue, the problem probably wouldn't go away when I log out.

If it were a cache issue, the problem wouldn't exist if I used a browser I had not used before.

The problem would appear to be at an intersection between my thread parameters and the default theme.

I haven't seen this behavior on my desktop. But I did on my laptop. I'm using Linux on both machines with the latest version of Firefox (72.0.2 64bit). I usually just close the lid on my laptop which causes the system to suspend. This morning I had the problem and did a reboot which seems to have fixed the problem.

I am also seeing the same thing, plus: "SatelliteGuys.US would like your permission to enable push notifications." floating at the bottom of the page (and no way to dismiss).
Only seeing it on the "What's New" page.

Browsers checked:
Opera 36.0 (this I use all the time here).
Maxthon v5.2.7.2000

Even fired up a few old browsers not used in a long time:
Chrome Version 49.0.2623.112
Firefox ESR 52.9.0
(and, no, I will never fire up Internet Destroyer, I mean, Internet Explorer LOL!)

all on Windows Vista machine!

EDIT: Now I am getting something similar on the main forums page (including the push notifications garbage).

I too am now seeing the "cheap" looking main page, with the "push" nag,was working ok yesterday.Forums and threads still as they were.
W7 pro,64bit,Pale Moon 28.8.2,32bit.
I said I'd wait til the dust settled for judgement on the "upgrade",zenforo 2.0,,,fail.

Ok I just upgraded the forum software, hoping this helps as I have not seen any of these issues.

The only other thing that was done within the last month and a half was I installed the Browser Tab add on which I turned off as you guys didn't like it. (And it didn't do what I thought it was do). it was turned off... and now I uninstalled it. I hope this helps.

I hate issues like this where something is only happening to a handful of users but can not be replicated by me and other staff no matter how hard we try.

I wonder if staff isn't subject to the problem due to privileges they have. It seems to impact both members and pub members but my testing suggests that it doesn't impact non-members.

In any case, I'm not seeing the problem now in the What's New thread. Yay!

While that is possible, I have a number of test accounts which have different user access for each account.

Now one possible thing is when you install an upgrade of Xenforo it rebuilds all themes, and also flushes the cache. So that could fix things as well just doing that.

I suppose it could be bad data on the caching server but I wonder why not being logged in fixes it and others aren't suffering the problem. Does the cache server buffer down to the account level?

I don't know what you did, but this is the first time the Forum has worked right for me since you did the upgrade. No exploded avatars, blue screens, or elongated post full of machine language. I'm on Win10 and Firefox 72.0.2

I was seeing some really weird stuff (web code?) in posts in the Pub earlier this morning, but it's gone now and I didn't do anything different than I always do, so I'm thinking that what you did earlier today fixed it, Scott.

I don't feel Xenforo is a fail...it's just a bit different. Nothing I can't get used do. Actually, I'm pretty much used to it now and liking it...

Thanks, Scott!!! And you know we’ll be hyper-sensitive to anything that shows up for the next week. ;)

Edit: I was hoping your rebuilding the caches might fix the Signature Image caching, but I see the same EOC Stats image as before.

Actually way more people use computers then use mobile devices. These are our state for last week.
