Last night I was enjoying some baseball from Star Choice with a #315 receiver and Dishnetwork with a #311 receiver.
The #315 receiver was giving me the Blue Jay/ Baltimore game from Sportsnet Ontario and the #311 receiver was giving me the Boston/ New York game from WWOR.
The video resolution between the two systems on those particular channels was like night and day. Star Choice was very crisp and detailed. Dishnetwork was not very good , barely airworthy.
I had both games on at the same time with switching back and forth with PIP.
Star Choice would show highlites of the Yankee game with good pictures from the Bronx. Something Dishnetwork did not accomplish all game from WWOR.
The Sportsnet channel has 5 channels on its transponder.
WWOR has 6 channels on its transponder.
There must be something at issue here other than compression.
Anyone with ideas?
