Doesn't matter what I watch. Vs football, FoxSports, Locals,
even networks.....I get a patchwork of smush....no sound....
and then I get lost connection....wondering what happened....
oh, I guess that's HD. Engineers, lets work on that....cause
with SD, it happened a lot less.

You've got a signal issue either with a dish out of alignment or a bad connection or failing switch/lnbf/receiver.

Maybe if the footballers wouldn't run so fast
and the announcers wouldn't shout,

I don't know WTF you're talking about, so I'd say the problem is at your location. Yeah, Dish has some well-known unresolved repeating glitches, but nothing that matches your description.

Take out the third line and it makes sense with a low signal issue, pretty much he's describing an out of tune dish or one with an obstruction in the los.
