Nope, not too particular, I have two phillips, and a samsung here already, Im just trying to avoid having to spend another 100 bucks ona DTV DVR, I spent enough on my recievers with them this year...

so, you would prefer sd? i have a samsung i just deactivated that i still have hooked-up. its recording capacity is 70 hours. only problem is that the green standby light keeps turning on and off by itself. the unit was working fine before i deactivated it. but directv was about as helpful as a fly trying to tell me there was nothing wrong with the unit.

Well I have no problem with an HD unit, I just assumed nobody would have one before they had an SD unit.

If the only thing wrong with it is the green light Im interested, can you send me some pics?

see what i can. btw, i do have an hr10 i bought off fleabay....still boxed up. ups delivered. i have no idea what the condition is. and the box got banged up. a quick look at the unit appeared to be okay.
