WS9036 90cm / 36 inch satellite dish antenna..What motor to use with it?

I am thinking about buying the WS 9036/36 dish.
Does anyone use one with good results?
What kind of motor would I need for that dish? I was thinking about a SG 9120 etc. , but I do not know what model I would need for that A or B.
The specs do not indicate what size of pole it has.

Oh to answer your question you would want the 9120B, for either dish.

For a motor, I would look for a Stab H90
they were the company who developed the technology

I have that very dish and get great results. The problem is the construction: it is a a bit flimsy and does flop around some in the wind -- so make sure it's mounted tight. I got mine at a very cheap price. So unless you found a hard to turn down offer, I'd go with the one ke4est suggested.

Yes I have one and I use a SG9120 motor the (b) motor has a smaller diameter shaft. I am not impressed with the performance of the dish however.

What got me looking into this dish was the dimension. They stated that the WS dish has an actual dimension of 99cm X 90 cm.
The geosat pro listed a dimension of 93.5 cm X 85 cm.

From my experience you will not notice enough of a difference and for 10 bucks more you will have a very well made(better) dish, and you will get a superior LNBF. I like them so well I sale them on ebay now.

$ 79 is for the Dish, LNBF and free shipping for the WS, maybe I did not made this clear enough before.
$ 89 is for the dish , LNBF, and $45 shipping for the geosat pro. At least this was the price on the dish with the link you posted earlier.

Don't get me wrong.
I heard good things about the geosat pro dish, but what is holding me back right now is the price and the size. But there is nothing written in stone yet.

Don't forget to check on your local Craigslist to see if someone is selling or getting rid of a dish. That's where I got mine -- for $30. If you have to use the WS9036, it's not a bad dish. I get good results with mine, however, it's the only FTA dish I've owned so far. I'm quite certain I'd be much happier with a sturdier-built model -- and larger. Ah, a nice 1.2 meter dish is on my future wish list (after the C-band dish ... oh right, need to find a place to put those dishes first)! But in all seriousness, if you have to pay $80, you might want to do a bit more shopping around. Strong winds really whop this thin metal dish around, so I'm afraid it might get warped at some point, especially with our southern Spring storms (I just got set up in May, so I'm holding my breath...yikes).

Here in North Carolina we have winds and when it was mentioned that it may be a bit flimsy I had second thoughts.
ke4est helped me with it and pointed me in the right direction.
I rather get the right equipment the first time around than to have to do it over a second time.

Hard to get through to a lot of people when they see a 30" dish, or questionable motors for less money.

Stab is the the company which established and popularized the format.
So, the question should be: does the S10 work with the Stab. ?
