If you do not get WPIX-DT in your VOOM box, the Technical Director/Lead On-Line Editor of WPIX-TV, told me to pass along the following information:

Would you also let your readers know that WPIX is in negotiations with Time Warner concerning carriage of the WPIX-DT signal. Other news you might want to share is that WPIX is anxiously awaiting the completion of the signal combiner at the Empire State Building. We are operating at reduced power awaiting construction completion.

Time Warner doesn't serve the LI area; those on LI will have to wait until CV adds the channel too. As far as the combiner project at ESB, it looks like "sometime this spring".
