Wonder What This Device Is/Does

If you look on the Echostar site you can see their hybrid devices, which the Hopper and Joey are considered. The middle device looks cool. Probably some stripped down receiver? Almost looks like an Apple designed device.

Looks a lot like a silver version of the Channel Master (Echostar) DVR+.

That was Echostar's concept box from a few years ago. It is the template for the new Channel Master DVR+. The concept box did NOT include an Ethernet jack so that the box was even slimmer than the Channel Master DVR+. Echostar designs and provides STB's to providers around the world or direct to consumer such as in Europe for Freeview, etc. That page is not for the benefit Dish or Bell Canada as they already use Echostar STB's. It is really for the benefit of potential clients.
