What is this the dating game I don't want to know that, just kidding.

Yes, MANY...24 more than I had with DISH and several are NOT even carried by DISH!
Several?
With the advent of Switched Digital Video, cable companies no longer have to push every analog channel down the same wire and that leave them to only send the channel the receiver is tuned to. The picture quality is just as good as I had with my 922 and I do not lose my signal every time it drizzled. Basically, if there is a channel that is offered in HD, my cable company has it. Don't get me wrong I was happy with my DISH for 11 years, until they moved me to the Eastern Arc and I instantly began having problems with my signal levels and even with two tech visits, it could not get corrected. So I said bye to DISH and had no idea that my local cable company had stepped up so much with their programming and PQ. My friend dumped DIRECT and went to the cable and from his experience and my own eyes, I went with them as well. I am not saying EVERY cable company has stepped up their product, but mine has and I am more than happy with them. I am also ecstatic that I am saving $48 per month and soon to be another $5.
I'm glad for you, though I do wonder how apples to apples that $48 a month savings is.

Well, I can tell you exactly. I used to have a 922 that cost me $10 per month DVR fee and I had the AT-200 package, which was $69.99 at the time. With taxes and fees that made my monthly bill $86.93. Currently I am paying $2.00 a month for an M-Card as I use my TIVO as my receiver and I am currently paying $36 per month for my local cable company's television extended basic service, which carries everything I am interested in watching. As I said, I am bundled with all three and I do not know if a person just wanted the television leg of the triad what the cost would be. But, I know I spend more time streaming content, but I found I did miss certain channels when I pulled the plug on DISH. For me, right now, this is a cheaper and more flexible to view what I am interested in. I might also ad I had the TIVO that I used OTA and did very little recording of OTA with DISH, in fact I begged to be placed back on the Western Arc because of the problems I was having with the signal levels on EA and the techs would not do it.

Okay these are the HD channels carried by my cable company. You can make your own decisions. Just remember with them going to all digital a cable company has unlimited bandwidth.

So not quite (even close to?) apples to apples then. However, I'm glad you are getting what you want for a better price.

So you're happy about getting the same channel twice? Detroit is just an overflow feed for when two games are on and you DO get it on Dish where there is a live game there.

Try again please.

Strange I see separate and different programming on the two channels 99.9% of the time. Why not stop being a DISH apologist. I cannot help it if I have found a cheaper and BETTER alternative for my viewing needs. YOU TRY AGAIN!
