I just had a VIP 612 installed in a family room. I am able to get the same picture on TV #2 in an adjacent room through a coaxial cable - but the picture quality is non-HD. I am unable to run HDMI cable from TV #1 to TV #2 to get an HD picture on both due to lack of a crawl space/attic to pull the wire. Is there a way to convert the signal from the coaxial cable coming to TV #2 to HD quality?

The TV2 output on the 612 only outputs NTSC (SD.) The only way you are going to get HD to that TV is by running an HDMI run or a component run to it from the TV1 output, or get another receiver. You can use CAT5 Ethernet to make things easier and keep signal integrity over longer distance.
