Wireless Setup

Hello, I am attempting to connect my Dish Tv to my wirless set up. My password contains some symbols that I cannot find on the onscreen keypad on the tv. I attempted to chat with their support but they do not understand my problem.

My wireless password contains + and = symbols and they are not on the screen. Any help is appreciated.

Probably the best idea. Can't think of any way to get the other symbols (don't have a way to check here that I know of)

Ok, guess I could do that. Such an obvious answer, why didn't I think of that. But then I have to change it on everything else, what a pain. But thanks for the suggestions. Carol

If you're using wep, then that's a very good reason to switch everything on your net to wpa. wep can be cracked generally in less than 1 min.

Thanks guys, I am using WPA and I changed the password and now it works. Just kind of irritating because then I had to change it on 3 computers, 1 telephone and 1 iTouch.

actually in 2007 David Houlton did wep cracking with an FPGA in 13 seconds.

The failure to add non-alphabetic characters from Dish's side should get corrected to stop this from happening to other folks.
