wireless receiver

can you tell me how them receivers work? if i have a HR34 in mine room, can we a wireless receiver in mine Mom Room and the Living Room?, our cable company is making her upgrade in October and doesn't really want to and since i have direcTV in mine room it would make more sense but she doesn't any wires

Yes you can upgrade to wireless with a 34 just fine. The only thing that matters is the physical distance from each tv to the next. The wvb can broadcast about 80ft.

I have the wireless client and they work just fine, as twizt3dkitty said it depends on the distance from each room TV, if it's short than your fine, even long distance is fine but it also depends the thickness or material (metal or brick) in the walls between rooms
WVB (Wireless Video Bridge) would be included with wireless client, and can be connected with coax which the tech will provide.
And has to be plugged in at all times in the outlet or it will lose it's connection with the HR34, I think you might know but if for any reason the HR34 becomes defective, than the wireless client won't function since it relys on the connection from the HR34 as it doesn't have it's own tuners.

Yes she can it utilizes one of the genie tuners to function.
