Say you download some shows via Starz on demand, then drop the channel package before the *** rental days expire. Will they still be accessible?

(IF channel is dropped)

It appears freeview downloads of on demand (At the least HBO) do not stay once the freeview is over if that is any indication.

Not a freeview...presently have AT200 w/Starz VOD, for the record.

I have all sorts of recordings on my External drive from channels I've lost when I dropped from A250 w/Blockbuster to A120. Some are quite old, and they still play just fine.

I'm not sure if 'on demand' stuff is the same though.

It's an on-demand recording however if I understand it right that you are asking about, not regular channel recordings. That's why I mentioned the HBO situation, that is a freeview not a subscription true but they are on demand recordings that disappear when the freeview does, the regular channels recording do not disappear. I can see where it would be the same for a subscription on demand recording but I don't know.

I've been watching Black Sails from Starz On Demand and don't subscribe to Starz at all. Is that a glitch ?

The person may have the AT250 package, which has the Encore channels, which are owned by Starz.
They wouldn't be able to get the Starz OD that way though. They could get the Encore OD but not the Starz. With Blockbuster, they will get the majority of Starz OD.

Yes

Dish America
That explains it Hall. There is a Starz channel in the BB@Home package, so you get all the movies and shows that might air(or reair) on that channel. It is almost everything that appears on Starz. If you run into one that gives you the subscription message, now you know why too. They are very few and far between though.

That explains it...I was thinking Starz VOD was in AT200+. Thanks for the clarification!

My BB@H promo ends 7/7. Got some time.

Actually, thanks for reminding me, time to check online when my promotion expires. I don't watch it a lot, so it may be time to remove it, with the ole lady and kids now moved in, as of Saturday night.
