As long as they are transmitted in DVB or DVB-S2. PowerVU is an encryption type.

Broadcasters can transmit DVB-S/S2 HD content unencrypted (FTA) or they can transmit DVB-S/S2 HD content with PowerVU encryption so that FTA receivers can not watch the signal.
