Will Spot beam strenght of 35-40 work for locals?

Spot beam only 35-40 on locals

I want to move.

THe new locals are on spots. Where I will be watching the Signal for the Spot averages between 35 to 40.

If I dont care about rain fade will 35 to 40 work?

What is the minimum that will work.

35 to 40 not enough

My old rca receiver breaks up when the transponder strength hits 40 to 43. If I have 44 or higher the picture doesn't pixelate.

The signal should be 70 or above, you need to adjust your dish alignment probably on the 119. The spot beams will either allow or disallow by zip code as listed as your physical address at D*

I test this on Two Tivos.

One HD Tivo and one RCA Tivo


On the test bar there is also a green dot, when it is green does that mean it is locked and it it strong enough so it will work?
