I have read Iceberg's sticky thread on DiSEqC and little concern with DiSEqC 1.2 requirement to control motor.
Code:
diseqc 1.0 means it will work with a 2x1 or 4x1 diseqc switch
diseqc 1.1 means it will work with a 8x1 switch
diseqc 1.2 means it can control a motor
diseqc 1.3 means it has USALS function for a motor

I have these receivers and looking to get a motor for second dish.

2 x IV 2000 PVR Plus
In the dish setup menu, it has: DiSEqC 1.0, DiSEqC 1.0 (Distant),DiSEqC 1.1

1 x Viewsat Ultra Lite
Front Label of the recever : DiSEqC 1.2
In the Dish setup, I see only DiSEqC 1.0.

One Winegard 30" dish.

Do any of my above FTA receivers able to control motor such as SG2100 or Stab HH-90?

Thanks.

The IV200 can control both a diseqc switch and a motor.

Most receivers will allow you to do both. Some of the older receivers will have set up in one menu option
Diseqc 1,2,3,4 then motor

Those receievrs are either or (either a diseqc or a motor)

Visionsat will work fine. I have one set up that way (diseqc and motor)

Viewsat should too.

the viewsat will work fine....i am not 100% sure about the other one but it should....
The Visionsat IV-200 should be dandy.
I remember some Viewsats had motor control troubles, but it's been so long I don't recall which models.
From the above, it would appear both your receivers should be fine.

the only viewsat with problems was the 9000HD....it could not switch a diseqc to save its life....

The original viewsat couldnt run a motor to save its life either ;)
Yea, that's what I was remembering.
And they had several models with almost identical names.
That didn't help (me) either.
So, I used to just warn folks away from 'em.

Eventually, I think they got the motor issue sorted out.
But by then, they were so far up my $#|† list, it no longer mattered. :)

If ya have trouble with either receiver, ...
1. try the other one
2. check our firmware library for newer factory versions.

By the way, I have a Fortec Dual Universal Linear LNB for the 30" dish. I'm going to pickup a 36" Fortec dish and a motor (either SG210 or HH-90) to control this dish via one of the receivers through multi-switch (5x4 or 4x4).

I read somewhere that all we need is a standard linear LNB for north America... Should I get another Fortec Dual Universal Linear LNB or stay at dual standard linear LNB for this 36" dish? Any issue having a standard and universal together?

Thanks.

Ajax Ontario... okay, that's near Toronto, so you're pretty far east.
I'm so far west, I don't pay attention to the eastern-most satellites that -need- a Universal LNB.
And that's assuming you even want anything from them.

If you want to use a 4x4 or 5x5 multiswitch, I believe you'll need Standard LNBs, not Universal.
See the Switches Simplified FAQ for more discussion.

And if you're planning to run two motors from two receivers, that's not a well documented area of discussion.
Your intended layout isn't clear, but from the equipment you've mentioned, I see some clues. :)

edit:
One last thought.
There are a lot of motors manufactured with the generic SG2100 designation.
They're not all created equal.
I'd go for the STAB HH90, myself. In fact I did. - :)

Only one motor, it is intended for the 36" dish. The 30" dish is fixed, point to 95W. So standard linear LNB is the way to go based on your information. I can change the other universal one to standard get things consistent if required.

The multi-switch is for multiple receivers from two dishes.

Some Advise on motor setup.

Can you get low SRs on your Openbox S9?
