Will 922 Ever Get Blockbuster At Home

922 is officially Dead

Hi, I just joined the forum, I had been watching the responses since I heard about BBMP and I just upgraded to the 922 last October. I called Dish last night and was asking if they were going to compensate the owners of the 922's for the long wait for BBMP. They sent me to an account specialist and she told me" The are definitely not going to upgrade the 922 software to include BBMP, since they announced the Hopper, they have stopped work on the 922. So Monday I will be getting the upgrade to the Hopper with one Joey for the same price I pay for the 922 and a 211. The install cost was 100.00 and she gave it to me for 50.00, I didn't complain due to I got the 922 for free upgrade. But I did have to sign up for the service plan for 4 months for the free install. The account specialist asked me to get the word out if I could about the 922 to let everyone know the the 922 "Will Not Be Getting BBMP" I hope this helps all of you.

It was on my 922 this morning. I had to leave for work, but I was able to stream an SD movie and download an HD movie. When I get home I'll see if I can stream an HD movie once the downloads are complete.

Thanks , I currently still have version 16.Maybe I will be getting it in a couple of days once all of the updates go out.

Guess all those people that didn't believe the dish reps when they said we have these 922's at home and are playing with blockbuster on demand and it will be released are eating there words now.

That's great! How's the interface? (Older receivers have an extremely cumbersome and painfully slow interface.)

I got it...
I really liked it, it is what I was waiting fro. To have an OnDemand service that actually works.
And this works, I don't know why it wasn't working before, but now I'm able to have the movies to the channels I have suscription OnDemand and also the shows to the channels I have.
The wife is happy, now she won't have to choose to record Chopped All Stars or other program that was at the same time because all the episodes are now there :p

See, why couldn't they have done this months ago. I love my hopper, but my joeys can sometimes be slow and buggy since its a feeder box. If this was available two months ago, I would still have my 922 and the hopper system. Instead I scrapped the 922 and got the hopper and 2 joey set up with sling. 922 was perfect until they stopped updating it and making it viable. Hope dish doesn't do this to Hopper in couple of years. OAN, I love my hopper/ now with Pandora. Awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

LOL, that was a big help! Account specialist my a**...

Blockbuster works great. On the other hand, DLNA seems to be broken now (it never really worked that well to begin with), hopefully 1.18 will bring it back.

I cannot believe the BB@home interface on the 922 is as lame as it is on my 722 and 612s. Anybody have some screen shots? How zippy is it?
