Wii this weekend?

I guess I should have read the rest of the posts, Neutron. You've already found the Best Buy rumor before I posted it in another thread!

Good luck on getting your Wii.

I just scored a WII at my local Toys R Us. They had 16 and I was number 15. I got there at about 6am. Circuit City only had 3 and I heard Best Buy had like 18.

There were about 30 people at the best buy near us when I got up here @ 7:30.

I'm now at Gamestop where I'm appox 14th in line. It is cold and I forgot my jacket.

No luck. Bestbuy had 24. By the time I got there, the line was too long. EB games had a "few". 30 people in line at Gamestop. Oh well. My kids have been asking me to play 360 more often. It's in our bedroom. Maybe I'll get a 2nd 360 , to replace their xbox. ToysRus is giving away a $100 GC with each purchase. Not too bad.

** Wife and talked about it. We're going to purchase the a 2nd 360 for the kids. Already have their xbox sold for $75.

I used www.nintendofinder.com and it worked like a charm. I would much rather pay $6.50 then stand in line for hours. I had the emails sent to my cell phone and got my wii at etoys for retail price. Not sure how many online releases are left before xmas but it may work for you.

No luck here either. I was number 8 in line at EB Games and was told the night before that they had 9 for today. Once the manager got in she stated that they had 9 but only 7 for sale. They were holding the other 2 for others that were not in line. This is total BS.

I struck out too. Target had 15, Best Buy had 22. Long lines for both. I stopped by the mall and there were only 10 people waiting at Gamestop I was 2 away from getting one. If I had went there first, I would have had one.

Oh well, looks like my kids and I will be playing Zelda on the GC this Christmas.

Just our of curiosity, where the stores selling just the Wii unit? Or are they selling bundles?

It was bundle that I got, but not a huge one. It came with an extra controller and three games. I don't want the games but I'm sure returning them anywhere for store credit won't be an issue.

Some sites only sell bundles and some sell just the unit. I figured as long as the bundle didn't include an extra warranty, subscription, or something that i couldn't get my money back on I would get it.

Well, I was #8 in line and they only had 6 available. :(

Got to meet some nice people though! There was a lady in front of me that was very nice to talk with.

I did get a nunchuk controller since they were nearly out of them and I figured those are hard to come by as well.

there were people camped out at gamestop for the wii. when i went to circuit city to get the classic controller for the wii, they had three ps3s available. they got ten in and handed out vouchers for them. they had three unclaimed at 1100 and where going to release them at 12 if no one claimed them. there were three in line hoping no one came for them.

At Toys R Us they sold them without a bundle. But if you bought Ultimate Alliance you got $20.00 off. I bought that game and Zelda, also got an extra controller and nunchuck. Bought the 2 year service plan too.

I can't believe the wii is in such limited supplies. They were acting like they had more than enough a month ago.

it seems like they have cut their supply (werent they suppose to have 2 million by christmas?) and this console has really taken off, the combo of the two.

I gotta concur with you on that. The Best Buy in N. Canton had 20 this morning...with over a 100 people waiting in line before the store even opened (I was #58...LOL)

Oh well, I think a 360 isn't *that* bad of a consolation prize. :)

100 people in line up in canton?/ thats crazy, hey webby, that store would have been better off if they never moved, dont you agree?? and the 360 is a really nice prize, if you like first person shooters I hear rainbow six 3 is a cant miss!

Sears has PS3 in stock.
