I sent an e mail out to Dish to find out if BBC World could be added to AT250. I like the channel and I got the card, plugged it into the 211k and subbed to the news pack for $10 a month, just to get BBC World and the channel is not even in HD. Dish claims the channel is not in AT250 because of a contract issue. Why would that be? The way it is being sold, very few people can view it. I believe the company that controls BBC World in the is Scripps(?) The company that has Discovery. I may be wrong on that, but since Dish has the other Scripps channels and they are available in AT250, why isn't BBC World? Both Direct TV as well as Charter Cable has the channel in their upper tiers in HD. Getting BBC World is not available Ale Carte either as an add on. I have checked it getting it even on a stream. The least expensive way I can do that is to sub through a different company for $18 a month. Even Charter has CNN International which we don't. But I can get the CNN app with my sub to Dish and CNN International does stream for free as long as I have the Dish sub. Does anyone have any thoughts on why Dish has BBC World set up like this, so few people can watch it? Even Russia Today is easy to get compared to BBC World as well as a zillion other International News Channels. Thanks.
