box claims blind scan but IIRC it doesn't. We had a thread on this a while back

get yourself one of the 3ABN dish's and a fortec mercury II (satAV had them on sale a little while ago for $75 I beleive) and you'd be cheaper and have a much better system
cheap FTA receiver analogy
I bought a Pinto as my first car.
It got me to work.
It was basic transportation, had no frills, and was priced cheaply.
Two years later, I replaced it with a sports car for about double the price.
It got me to work , too
It was much more than basic transportation! - :up
It had frills , features , and sex appeal.
I dated a number of girls who might not have paid attention to me in the Pinto.
... and I went at speeds unimagined!
So, here is the question...
Would I have been better off to buy the sports car from the beginning?
Overall, I would have paid one-third less money! -

Well I think the wife got me the pinto. I had been looking at FTA setup's for about two years. So the wife as a surprise got the combo for me. She sent me the link while I was out of town. Today the combo and myself arrived at the house about the same time. The wife was smiling and so proud of herself so I guess this will be the start to a new hobby. I guess I will get the sports car next time

You can do a review of the whole kit, later on, if you like.

It was nice, but I eventually wanted a bigger one.
So, to not insult the -gift- she'd give me, I pointed out that I liked it so well, I was selling it to invest in an ever later/bigger model !
She bought the story, and I wasn't relegated to the dog house!

Moral of the story is we'll have a busy social life if:
-Fortec releases the NA Passion with 4:2:2, blind scan, PVR, etc.
-Pansat FINALLY enables that @$%* E-SATA port.
-We find a good deal on a Quali
