DISH needs to emphasize that they are the high tech leaders and expand on all that means : dvrs better than TIVO , remote scheduling, external hard drives to expand your recording needs, two tvs on one dvr -watch 2 different shows at the same time.
Then they can show that they are the Premium Movie headquarters and have more HD than DIRECTV. Expand on all the hd national channels that they have: I don't know about saying they have the best hd picture in the industry though. THird they can advertise the Price issue:
1)Announce the new simple price structure that was recently announced for 8/1/09. This would also show that there are no more turbo blow metalic names for hd,. WE give you more hd than anyone else , all for Just $10.00! All extra hd channels included for the $10.00 price.
2)Since DISH won't eliminate the dvr fees , how about announcing that the more dvrs you add the less you pay or a one account fee that covers all dvrs for slightly more than the single dvr fee. THIS would encourage more dvrs are sold and more people are happier with their accounts. Could do the same thing with the additional receiver or lease fees. A one account fee for lease/additional receiver fees.
Now if they could do all this by starting with a catchy comedic approach that gets people's attention , than expand on all that I just said, it would work. IF all else fails put some sex appeal in it to get some attention from men , they are the people in most households that decide the entertainment purchases on tv/home entertainment.
