However, I have a question, on the HTL-HD, whenever something is in HD format, the "HD" icon is lighted. I noticed that for almost everything on ESPN HD, most programs are never highlighted in HD, does that mean they are standard? They look better than what other standard channels look like. So I am just curious. Also, I noticed for a channel like HDNet that the HD icon doesn't always light up for a program airing on HDNet. I find it hard to believe that HDNet doesn't air every single thing they show in HD. Is that just a minor quirk on the HLT-HD or do somethings not air on HD on HDNet? I'm puzzled.
correct me if I am wrong but Cbs also does 720p, and if I read all the right things 720p is a better picture for sports, its a lot more stabler picture, and 1080i is not, you will see a lot of break ups and general pixalation, plus with 720p its not that big of a diff. I could be wrong though but I thought 720p was the standard for sports.Neutron said:You can't really fault Directv for this.
Another thing to remember is everything ESPN-HD does in HD is 720p, not 1080i like most everyone's TVs do.
I am trying to figure this complaint out. Exactly why is DirecTV to blame for ESPN's failure to do a game in HD?
Perhaps a call to Bristol CT might be more appropriate?
Calling DirectTV to complain about ESPNHD is just ludicrous, what other users have posted is correct. Write a letter or an e-mail to ESPN is the only way to complain about their lackluster programming.
