Why is ESPN now letter-boxed all the time?!

It does stink - but if it's not on the main channel (418), be sure to check the HDALT channels, just below the normal station in the guide. The past several games I have found the HD feed down in those channels. It often comes from Fox Sports South or Tennessee, but it's always been open for me in the St. Louis market.

Thank you for the info. Tonight, the HD feed is on 444. Does anyone have an explanation for why they do this?

The cards have a huge territory that bleeds over onto other "versions" of the RSN's. I know on Directv some nights you see the Cards game or Reds game (another one with a large territory) 4 or even 5 times in the guide depending on location. I guess with Dish they give one HD feed for those.

I know during college football they do the same thing. So you have to find the HD feed on the alt channels versus the normal RSN
