Why is Collsat 4000 Pro twice as much as Fortec?

Why is it that the Coolsat 4000 Pro almost twice as expensive as Fortec Start Lifetime Ultra? I’ve read the features list and a review or two - but I don’t get it. What is it about it that makes it TWICE better?

Coolsat at www.ftadirect.com is $229 for unit + free shipping

-Coolsat can blind scan at a faster rate than the Fortec (and Pansat for that matter) and can scan multiple satellites

Not EXACTLY twice as much - but there is $110 difference. For an extra $9 I could buy two Lifetime Ultras for the price of one Coolsat:

your choice......nobody is forcing you to buy a particular receiver

I just used 2 companies above that are reputable and sell those units...

Just like with anything in life, look at the options and choose accordingly

by looking at the specs, the processor is much better in the Colsat than the Fortec
(using your two links above)

I have a Pansat 1500 (little brother of the 2500 which is like a Fortec) and just got a Coolsat and I really like the Coolsat better...very easy to work with and the blind scan is much faster. Also, with the Fortec you have to clean out the TP's stored on a regular basis or the unit does some funky things.
