Why haven't other major manufacturers gone in the industry?

Just out of curiousity. I mean I know RCA I think might have had DTV but you figure with as big as FTA is in other countries that ones like Panasonic and Sony would have jumped in the fray...

FTA just is not BIG enough yet in this country, but those guys DO make satellite receivers. Have a look at a few that are available in the UK, I am sure there are more!

I was flipping through TeleSatellite magazine yesterday and its AMAZING how many FTA receivers are truly out there! Most are sold in Europe...
