Why does dish keep recording their crappy July event thing on my HDD?

You will know it when you see it, because apparently it will end life as we know it. 
Corrado, it is a few things. It can be a download of a program they are promoting, such as the show "Justified." I actually started watching that show after it was downloaded by Dish and I watched it, and liked it.
It may also be a list of upcoming movies on HBO, or coming to Dish Cinema. It does not stop any recordings you have, the most is you have to use your fingers to use the remote, to delete them.
