Why are the VOOM Networks so bad?

HDnews has only 1 hour per day, run in a loop all day long, they have no investigative reporters, never run in-depth documentaries and have no capability to respond to breaking news with live on scene coverage. Not exactly new.I like the voom channels, but you cant use hdnews as a good example. It would be if Discovery showed the same dirty jobs for 24 hours, then showed a different one for 24 hours, etc.

Need to watch before you speak:
HDNEws repeats 20 minutes every hour and then begins a new sequence every hour. HD Essays can be fluff but then there have been the in depth series on the Iraq War, Katrina, Civil Rights Movement etc. They change throughout the day too. Fox, Cnn just fill with the sensational BS du jor.
Ticker tape reports other "live" stories. Election coverage over the years is also current and breaking. Weather is the best. Regional, National and world. We love Dr. Soval.
Discovery, NTGeo, TLC,HGTV all follow the same format and show the same episodes of a given series for a week. They repeat their slate about twice a day. I just don't have time to watch TV that much that I've seen everything once on a given Network.

The survival of this ancient dance faces the same fate today, as modern media, mass tourism and lack of funds again threaten its survival. This gripping one-hour documentary follows a troupe of young dancers as they learn the classical and stylized movements of traditional Khmer dance from those who escaped persecution during the Khmer Rouge Regime. It also reports on the 2003 UNESCO plan launched to safeguard the dance by building new schools, organizing shows, and communicating more about this tradition to the outside world.

If you want to complain about reuns, you should be talking about the four major networks. They not only show the prime time shows over and over again, they show them on different nights and the Neilson ratings say people are watching them. I find so much to watch on the Voom channels and get less reruns that the major networks. With a 722 and two TiVos, I never watch reuns on any channels and have two 500 gb hard drives full of stuff that I have yet to watch. Maybe you just watch tooo much tv..

The network channels are free, Voom is not.

Anybody that tells you Voom has not gone downhill in the last 3 or 4 months is full of it. I used to love Voom channels, specifically Monsters HD, but now they have gotten to where they rotate 2-3 movies for 24 hours and then rotate 2 more. The movie selection has gotten worse too. Other Voom Channels are the same way.

These people have some validity behind the "Voom is garbage" argument. Six months ago I would have defended them. Now I cannot.
