On Tuesday I had 2 HR24-100's, and 2 H25 hd boxes installed.
I hooked One DVR up to my home internet via a eithernet cable, that DVR can't be seen by the others, all the sharing is turned on.
It seems that the Internet is my problem, I was looking at the DirecTV technical forum and they talked about a cinema connection kit is this my problem, if so is there a way around this kit or where do I purchase 1 if you think that is my problem I was planning on putting both DVR's on my home internet via the Ethernet cords but maybe this is not going to work and still be able to watch the whole home Dvr on alll boxes

Have you signed up for Whole Home? If so, I am surprised that your order did not include a free Cinema Connection Kit. But, yes, you cannot plug an internet cable directly into your HR24 and expect whole home DVR to work. In fact, plugging in the internet cable disconnects the DECA in the receiver that make Whole Home work. (And for the droids that will jump on and say you can work it through your router, you know that is not supported by D* so it is time to drop that alternative.)

Anyway, you have to be sure you are signed up for Whole Home. IF not you need to contact D* and have that added to your service. Next you need to make sure that all your receivers/DVRs have MRV "Authorized". (Go to Settings>Whole-Home>Status to check.) Then you need to get a CCK and connect it to your system. If you have Whole Home service, you can order it directly from D* for a reasonable price. You have to get the wireless version for a self-install. They insist on an installer for the wired version. (Frankly, I am surprised your order did not include a free CCK on your setup. But, apparently it did not.)

Once you get all this you should be good.

Thanks for your reply, I talked to my retailer and he gave me a hard wire kit, he offered to send a tech out but I told him I thought I could handle it, the part I forgot about was after I have it installed how to actually set it up can you tell me what the steps are thank you

The hard-wired version is the one I have. You have two options. The preferred method is to minimize the number of splitters in your line which would entail running coax from the CCK to your existing splitter (provided that there is an available terminal on the splitter). If you don't have an available port on your existing splitter, an alternative is to get a 2-way "Green Label" splitter and install it in-line with one of your receivers closest to your router. You just run the "in" port to your existing coax coming into your receiver, install a short piece of coax from one of the "output" ports to your receiver and a short piece of coax from the other "output" to your CCK. You need to connect the CCK to your router and plug it in.

The next step is to initialize the system. If you follow standard network setup procedures you will unplug all your receivers for about 30 seconds and then plug them back in one at a time. Allow about three minutes between receivers when you plug them back in. This will make sure that they are at the network addressibility step before you start the next receiver. It is necessary to unplug them since they do not physically shut down when you turn them off.

What all this does is connect your coax connections with your internet router. It is a pass-through connection so you will see each of your HR24 receivers on your router "connected devices" list.

Hope this helps.

I appreciate your response, I'm not going to have a chance top mess with this until Sunday, so I will let you know how I do.
Thank you

Just thought I would let you know everything went as you said, Thank you for your time and help, up and working good
