Well...I've always been a Labonte fan, but Terry's retired and Bobby drives for a team with slim chances every week. I'm probably rooting hardest for Ricky Rudd of those with a chance to win!

...that is if we can ever get through all the fluff and actually start the dang RACE today!!!

Who will win ?

Probably Tony Stewart,
I would very much like to see Earnhardt Jr. but would think it may be Stewart.

Go Little E !!!

I think Martin would have won it had Kyle Busch not lost it on the last turn, Martin lost his push at that point.

Martin said he expected the caution to come out, but it never did.

Total BS! Why didn't Nascar through the caution as soon as they started wrecking? Martin was ahead when it started and should be the winner. Once again, Nascar decides when and when not to throw the caution!

Since the wreck did not impact the top two, I am glad they let it play out to the finish. I would have liked to see Martin win but that is the way it goes.

But that's not the way it supposed to go. Nascar eliminated racing back to the start/finish line. Because it's the Daytona 500, they "allow it" Don't get me wrong. It was a good race and a great finish. I'd be lying if I said I didn't want to see Martin win it. If the wreck would have happened on the back stretch. Game over. Martin wins! Nascar needs to decide what they want to do. They can't decide to let them race to the line because it's the final turn in the 500.

i am very happy with the 24s 12th place finish. if they would have put out the caution when the wreck happened, he would have been in the top ten with a crappy car.

I agree with you guys post about caution / no caution, but it has been stopped many times before before the stripe when the learers were not affected.
Nascar would do as they always claim, use the electronic marks in the track to determine who was the winner, they do that any other time.

However, I think Nascar would have rather had Mark win than not win.

I am not much of a sports fan, but I watched the end of todays race and I LOVED IT.

My wife is worried now that I am going to turn into a Nascar fan drive a beat up pick up truck and start drinking beer....

Well I already got the pickup truck. ;)

Good race!

As seen by the penalties earlier this week, the Chevy power teams(RCR, Hendrick, DEI and Gibbs) can do what they like and NASCAR will always give them the benefit of the doubt. If that was a Rousch car passing for the win the yellow would of been out before you can blink an eye.

I live in Alabama and watched all of the race. I've never drank beer and I own a new pickup truck. :)
