Is Miles a Michigan man ?
IF so, there's your answer.....
If he's not a M man then I would say, there's no way he's going there, but then again, he considered it a few years back.
He went to school there, played for Schembechler there, was an assistant there for two separate stints, so I would say he IS a Michigan guy. Will he take that program when he seems to be doing well at LSU and there is not a of financial incentives that he can get over LSU? (Miles is making $3.751 million at LSU while RR is making $2.521 million at UM.) Unless he really wants a major challenge, I think the answer is a resounding no.
Interesting side note: When RR was sued by WVU for breach of contract, UM decided to pay $2.5 million of his buyout for him.

To add to your resounding "no" is the fact that Miles would be taking over a program that has been decimated by RR. To be honest, the "one" hope of Miles jumping ship is the fact he would have full-control of the Football Program and his arrival at Michigan would be hailed as the second coming of Christ (thaks RR!). Additionally, he would be offered a 5-year contract and be well-compensated. Michigan is paying a gazillion dollars in stadium renovations (luxury boxes, etc.) and the University simply will not tolerate empty seats and another losing season.
I predict that both RR and AD Martin are gone after this season. BTW, here is another black-eye for the Michigan Football program:

Another security employee also reported to police that Martin pushed her after the Notre Dame game a month earlier, but Martin said in a letter he didn't recall that incident.
The latest incident occurred just three days before Martin abruptly announced his retirement on Oct. 21. That same day, a police investigator alerted Martin of the police investigation, a police report said.

Martin will be a real loss to UM, it sure looks like. NOT! Pushing two students around, one of them a female, sure shows his lack of character. Looks like he is out of there, at least.
As for Miles, I don't know why he would want to take over a program that has been rather substantially downgraded (read: wrecked.) IMO, he will only take the job IF he is really wanting a challenge, not the money, prestige, etc.; as he pretty well has that at LSU.

Looks like even the blowhards at ESPN have written off Fat Chollie hanging around at ND next season. After losing to UConn in spite of the best efforts of the officials, ND now has a 6-5 record. Even before losing to Stanford next weekend, he now has the lowest winning at home percentage of any coach since 1975. Any of them. Coupled with the fact that he has went 3-9, 6-6 the last 2 years and will go 6-6 for this season, it appears that his tenure is about over. Instead of the "fat lady singing" it may be more appropriate to say that the "fat man has cried the blues" and the misery of ND fans may soon be over.
As to RR at UM, his 8-16 tenure has to be getting to the fans at UM. Carr was canned with a winning percentage of better than 75% and I don't think 33% was quite what they had in mind for his replacement. In view of the NCAA's inquiry into possible violations of the "20 hour rule" by RR and his cronies, this may be the out for the UM administration in that they can use it as an excuse to send him on his way.
As for Coach Bowden, his team will now finish no worse than 6-6 for the season (anticipating the likely shellacking that FSU will take from UF next weekend) , but only 4-4 in the ACC. With the growing dissatisfaction emanating from all sides (including Chairman of the university board of trustee's Jim Smith), it may well be time for Coach Bowden to call an end to the suffering an resign before he is forced out. What exactly is a "MICHIGAN" man? Schembechler came from Woody's program. You know - "that evil school from the South". Anybody who can come in here and win is a "MICHIGAN" man.
Chances are, he's got plenty of money.
IF he decided he wanted to take over the M job and was successful as expected, he would restore the image in AA and potentially beat the hated team down south (OSU) .

That is what I thought, that there would have to be a reason outside of $$$ for him to change. If he can undo the damage that RR has done to the program, you are right, he may well be deemed a saint in AA.

Its obvious that there must be a ton of those places in SB. When ESPN was showing him & his quote from 2004, he was noticeably less obese than now.

in 4 years as New England's OC, Charlie was a part of 3 Super Bowl Championships. As an OC in the NFL, a "lemon" Charlie is not.
