Have a 1000 for 110&119 and a 500 for 129 had the 500 put up ion Sept to replace a smaller one as 129 wiil not stay in for any length of time call dish and now they want to bring out a 1000+ is this any better to aim at the 129??

bhamster,

I use a 76 cm dish for 129.

It's great.

The dish was $50 and shipping from Arkansas was another $50.

I bought it before E* started installing larger dishes for free.

I'd still probably do it myself.

To answer your ? re 1000+

...my experience was slightly worse than the 24" separate. Directv is being installed today; I'll let you know if that improves the drop-out issue :)

A 1000+ gives you the equivalent perf of an 18".

Get a 24" for 129W. I use one from SC pointing thru brush and it resolved all signal issues on all TPs, SD and HD. The one mentioned a few posts back has a "D" shaped LNB holder perfect for snug DN LNB fit.

update

Just a quick update, dish was here and put up 24" dish Wow signal is running around 45-50 so it's more than double than before, was running around 17-20 this morning before they showed up..and yes I tipped the tech for a job well done..

For 129, I highly recommend the 24" or bigger dish. It makes the signal stronger. It will also make it easy and fast for your receiver to process the signal.

A moment please

alternative to Dish 1000[.2]?
