I just picked up a Quali-TV receiver on Febay (probably from another member haha) and I would like to scan in some 4:2:2 programming but I am not sure how I would find anything since this receiver doesn't have a blind scan. I have yet to run into any that I know of with my other receivers. The Openbox is my best blind scanning receiver. I would like to get a better receiver for blind scanning. I don't understand if receivers without 4 2 2 capability would know what was a 4 2 2 feed/channel or if they would even notice them on a blind scan. I am impressed with the reception of this Quali-TV. It is better than all of my other receivers. My Coolsat and Sonicview 8000s won't even lock in the channels that my Openbox and Q will. The Q has a slightly better signal than the openbox at least for the current C band satellite I am parked at.

Aren't there some of those feeds on 107>the CA bird that has their weather channel feeds? Sorry I can' t be specific, I believe I've read that there are some on the ku side of the sat also.

A 4:2:2 feed on the Openbox will display as colorful pixels filling the entire screen, rapidly changing. There will be sound (if present), but no identifiable picture, other than the pixels. If you record the broadcast, the recording will play back perfectly on a PC with VLC.

Haven't had my receiver on 107.3 in a couple of months, but last time I checked there were some at 11902, 11912, 11933, 11941, and 11949. All are H 5859, 3/4 FEC, DVB-S.

on KU 107.3 has some CBC news feeds that are 4:2:2. All between 11900-11950 H with symbol rate of 5859
C-Band 99W the GDMX mux (3820 V 26000) is 4:2:2

O OK, I know what you are talking about. I found some channels on 107 with that problem. I will scan them with the Q. I just thought that they were scrambled.
