When will I be a new customer again?

i had a customer who had primestar... got switched to d* but couldnt get service (years ago) and then i showed up and installed d* and they still had him in the system as a previous customer. they were understanding though and gave him a new cust deal.

as far as i can tell, if you havent been a customer for a while (couple years~) the free install is no big deal, but you cant get any other special introductory offers (like 29.99 for the first 4 months) that brand new customers would get

That does happen, but it's actually not THAT common. To get that, you'd have to do a lot of arguing, and the CSR would have to talk to a supervisor - in fact, that'd likely turn into a sup. call.
