When does the Viacom deal expire?

Doing a search online, it looks like that Dish and Viacom reached a long term agreement 10 years ago - March 11, 2004. Viacom channels were pulled on Mar 9, 2004 and restored March 11, 2004. I didn't have Dish back then, so this is just from searching on Google.

So it looks like Dish has already done this with Viacom before. No idea when it expires, but I wonder if it expires this year?

Comedy Central is worthless?

For me yes. Blocked in my guide along with mtv mtv 2 vh1 cmt vh1 classic all the nick channels logo bet tvland spike and if im missing something ill be glad to add it to the filter. There is not a thing on it that interests me and I said channel group not a specific channel. Comedy Central is probably the only channel anyone might complain about losing because of 1 show. Just like amc is worthless to most people other than 1 or 2 shows.

While I actually agree with you about the channels, many people do like them.

I'm a wrestling, mma and tattoo fan. Spike is necessary. Also Comedy Central. Outside those two, everything else I can live without I'm sure.

I like Comedy Central but I find myself rarely watching it. I could do without all of those channels even though I know there are some decent ones that people like.

if a new satellite service offered a service without VIACOM and ABC/DISNEY channels, The cost of this package will be 10 or 15 less of the current price, this new company will be success over Directv/DISH?

If i recall right, When DirecTV dropped Viacom Dish had a field day with it posting ads all over Facebook and Twitter saying they have a Long term contract for years to come. So maybe dish did a 12 year maybe even 15 yr agreement?

CC has a 90 minute block for me Monday-Thursday pretty much year round. Let's just say I would NOT be pleased if it was taken down.

Didnt dish and viacom reach a new agreement around 2009 or 2010. They added BET Jazz now called Centric) and i think LOGO. I think the 2004 agreement was when they added Nicktoons

That's what I'm thinking too. EPIX is affiliated with Viacom and that's when those channels were added.

I would guess that Dish is a tad bit peeved with Viacom regarding those Centric Logo channels. Im sure when they signed Viacom promised those would go HD in the near future and 4 years later Still no HD on these channels but Dish IS Using its HD bandwidth for that SD programming.

If you have kids, Nick is a must. They have to have their Spongebob and Fairly Odd Parents. Of course, if it went a way for a few days, there are plenty of alternate sources for these shows. It is not like ESPN or Fox Sports where you have specific live games that you can't get anywhere else.

Is it normal for the Hopper to make noise?

How do you add the hopper on my account?
