When did "Record rest of episode" after pausing or rewinding stop working ?

When did "Record rest of episode" after pausing or rewinding stop working on the 722k ? In the past, you could rewind a show, hit the "Record" button, and it would start recording from that point until the end of the show (or whatever option you chose).

If you attempt this now, it will start recording at the current time, i.e. current time is 10:10pm, you've paused a show from 9:30-10:00 at around 9:45pm, you'll end up with a recording of the show that's on at 10pm until it's normal end time.

If you've been watching since the beginning, after you press record, go to options and then up to record entire event. Works on my 722.

I will try that right now.... well, in the next 10-20 minutes. TV has been on SCI channel for a good while, certainly for the entire show that's on at the moment. I will pause it now (1:25) although that isn't what I am really asking. I shouldn't have to have the show on the entire time, only for what I want to record.

The behavior I described above, that is, rewinding to where you want to start recording and hitting record, used to work. My wife and son both have encountered this and both say the same as what I ran into - it no longer works. Just trying to confirm this or find a workaround.

On a similar note, and I'll bet they're related, using the current show, "The Planets", that is paused, if I hit "Info" while it's still paused but past it's end time, i.e. 2:10pm (when it ends at 2pm), the "Info" will be for the 2pm show, not for "The Planets". It's as if the receiver forgets what it is paused on (for both recording and guide details).

I have noticed that Info behavior on my 612 awhile back. Very annoying to say the least! I have not yet been bitten by the receiver recording the wrong show. (Not sure if I tried exactly what you did.)
