Calling all FTA'ers! Calling all FTA'ers!
If you have an FTA system with a circular LNB and have line of sight to 82W I'd like to ask a favor of you guys spread out across the US. In the Canadian Satellite forums we are trying to figure out the footprint of the 82W satellite. ExpressVu has recently made some changes with their Nimiq satellites and their leased DirecTV satellites. This adjustment has caused some of the southern subscribers to lose some of their HD channels. Some of the members are contemplating purchase and installing a larger dish(1m, 1.2m, etc) to receive the channels but would like to make sure it's worth it first. If you could please take a moment to grab a few signal readings and post the following information:
1. Dish setup - LNB type, dish size, etc.
2. General location in the US you can include a zip code if you like.
3. FTA receiver type (as our quality meters all differ)
4. Signal strength/quality on the 32 TP's located at 82W. If you cannot pickup a TP please note this. Refer to http://www.lyngsat.com/nimiq2.html for frequency to TP conversions. The following TP conversions are not listed: 12325-TP8, 12630-TP29, 12660-TP31. Please list your strengths as follows:

Once we do this then possibly we can help the members with a few tips and possibly photos for setting up these larger dishes.
***NOTE***: We are not hacking ExpressVu at 82W we are simply reading the signal strength/quality. As always...NO HACK TALK!!
And thanks again for taking your time to do this!
