What's the status on the Hopper guide update?

It's a new UI. It is THE software update. And my guess is pushing as far back as possible to work out any bugs they can, so likely mid to late August.

All I know is it better not blow up a perfectly working operating system, my hopper with sling has never worked better, I know we need to keep moving forward however I do not want a system that crashes constantly like my original hopper.

A feeling ? Just because you want something really, really badly doesn't make it "a feeling".

Someone told me that the software engineers at Dish/Echostar are monitoring the threads here and every time someone asks for an update, they push the release date back (30) days. So please, stop asking !!

No hurry as far as I'm concerned. I'm happy with the current interface and just hope they don't release the new one until it's thoroughly debugged.

And most certainly after they add the minutes back to the grid that the preview lopped off.

...and Carbon User Interface will be available to consumers starting in Q2 2015.

Q2 is April. It's already missed April, May, and June is halfway through. You don't believe that they're pushing it back every time someone asks now ?

Here guys if you are that superstitious about wanting it we should say no don't do it and watch it will be the fastest roll out in dish history. They are always more then eager to give you something you don't want. The people I feel bad for are tech support 800 333 3474 option 4 on the day this rolls out. Those are the people that are going to have actually a very bad month once those phones start ringing. Poor people.
