So I switched over to Comcast HD service back in March. I've had 2 x 510s and 2 x 301s to sell but have not prioritized it since they were going for around $100 and $25 on eBay back in that timeframe.
I log in to eBay today and start looking around so that I can finally list them and the average auction price has jumped up considerably. I am not so naive not to realize that some models are potentially hackable and that accounts for the jump in price.
I still want to sell the receivers. However, I am concerned that some amateur hack will jack with the hardware and fail and end up asking for a refund. What if they get caught? Do I call dish and say the hardware was sold on an auction and that it should no longer be associated with my account?
Any experiences from you guys would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
