I'm planning on running component cable to TV1 and also HDMI to TV2 to have a HD feed going to TV2 as well as the coax for it. My question is.... how do I control the 722K for the TV2 HDMI feed. Do I just buy another remote? If so, will I then have two remotes for TV2? I have a harmony remote if that will help! Sorry for all the newbie questions!

Pick up another 21.0 remote or just use the 722k in Single Mode. Hope this helps.

Welcome aboard!

Use the original 21.0 remote to control TV2 (SD) when needed/wanted. Mark 'em somehow so you don't get confused. You can get the 2nd 21.0 from Dish directly ($19.99 + spg.) or look on Ebay. Get the HDMI cable from monoprice.com . You can also get a powered HDMI splitter from monoprice if you'd like to use a HDMI cable at the receiver to TV1 instead of using component & audio cables. NO difference in pq though.

If you are pulling HD streams off the TV1 tuner for both TV1 and TV2, you have to run the ViP722 in single mode in order to use the TV2 UHF remote on the TV1 tuner. If you want to go back to the TV2 coax feed in SD, then just reset the ViP722 to Dual Mode and the TV2 UHF remote will then only control the SD feed from the TV2 tuner. I don't think you need another remote, just press the Mode button on the ViP722 to select which feed you want to control on TV2.

True--you don't need a 2nd remote in Single Mode and only in Dual Mode IF you want to be able to control the TV1 tuner AND the TV2 tuner when needed/wanted.:)
