I am trying to rig a portable tripod-like setup for my Class A motorhome so I can just get Dish on 129. We usually only watch the shows on that bird in HD. My nephew has a surplus dish that I can use and I think it's marked "Dish 500". My motorhome has a Winegard crank-up dish on the roof and I can get 110 and 119 with that but haven't been able to get 129 (using my VIP211 receiver). It may be because 129 is low in the sky here in NE Ohio.
Does it matter which actual Dish antenna I use and since I am only trying for 1 satellite; does skew matter? Thanks for any advice!
I will probably end up buying a VIP211K later this year but want to see if I can make it work without buying anything else at the moment. Gonna need the money for gas!!
