Thought it would be easier to start a new thread than hope that everyone could find this information buried deep in another thread.

After Factory Reset you should have at least 24 to 26 satellite tiles including X4 and XO if you have 26 total. I programmed 15 Sats out of the 26 available. The following break down of signals found is only for the 15 sats I locked in. Do not have any information at this time on the other sat Tiles.

Factory reset loads:
B6 W2 W3 T4 G7 T6 G3 T5 G6
W4 W1 X4 K1 E2 A2 M1 M5 G0 XO G5 G9
T7 C3 G1 C4 C1
Total Satellites available are 26. This number depends on MFG date most likely.
My 922 was built 2004, and I have 897 channels at option 65. After reset, I could purchase programming and still move my dish to any of the above locations and everything works fine.

The following information was found by manually going thru each locked sat and writing down what was found. The information is not complete since I just recorded information for the sats I locked, but will in the future do the others too. When asked to do that Saturday by someone on this forum, I said sure, happy to help. It took four cups of coffee and all my morning to get it done so here it is my friend.

This confirms it for me. If my receiver ever needs a master reset, I'm done with 4DTV. Just not enough left without the Motorola maps to reload.

Hi Lonewolf454,

After Reset, found 4160 EMM . Not sure why you might have T4 600-613 other than maybe keys that will disappear in near future. W1 same thing only I do have channel 23 ITC. I didn't list any of the lower C-band channels and there are more than I expected. I assume that you have done the conversion and suspect that your channel count options 65 is different than mine and that could be the cause for the difference. I didn't complete the seven step process and only have 897 channels.

Something we should look into you think?

What is happening is with the 4096 up there it is getting a partial download of what once was. I think there would be no digital except X4 if 4096 goes back down. The only answer is 4play. Wonder where the original G1-3 map file is kept at Motorola...

Hello Eurospot84,

I too wish there were more satellites, but with the ones I have to choose from and programming only 15 of the 26 tiles available, I have over 150 channels to choose from when using Azbox or Viewsat 2000 with the 4dtv 922. I also have spare 922s now that will not ever be converted and the have the available sat tiles saved as of December 10, 2010. So my 922 that I reset has all that is needed to do a good job. My other receiver, well they will be good for testing.

Hope this helps. Stoker

Lonewolf,

Just read the other thread and our current set up is different. Your 4096 and I'm 4160 plus You have 4783 channels and I have 897. That's the difference. Could be other things too.

Thanks, Stoker

Hi Kb Cool,

As far as I know, once you have EMM provider 4160, all maps are only available at X4 (which is the old W5 location). I don't see the old stream 4096 anywhere now that I have converted. Hope this helps.

Thanks, Stoker

I believe the 4D no matter what EMM provider it has will download other universe maps. Look at Anik *choice. So the 4096 that is active on GO etc still may have some of those old maps floating around. W5/X4 has a dual EMM still up too.

Then I'm guessing that you would have to do a options 67780 to clear emm or not? I don't think my receiver takes it's maps from 4096 or what ever is up and working, am I wrong?

You can take a 4096 EMM set receiver and go over to Anik (4128) it will load starchoice maps even though its EMM is 4096. 4160 would be the same. Maps are maps, if IRD see's maps it downloads them. Then blows up the TDT  Motorola technology at its best.

Yes, I also have several other units here for DCII and DVB.. it's just nice to have all the extras in the 4DTV for tuning in stuff like NET on T4 etc... :)
