What will I be able to pick up with this satellite dish???

I am thinking of buying a ~33" satellite dish for the Ku band and want to know what free-to-air satellites/channels I will be able to get with it. I know that I do need a satellite receiver box too. I am especially interested in Intelsat-21 broadcasts, so what will I need for those also?

Most everything Ku on Intelsat-21 is encrypted. Not much free-to-air(if any) there. Some on c-band IA-21, but again most encrypted there also.

free advice:

If you are going to BUY a dish, get a 36".
...and a top line LNBF wouldn't hurt, either.

Everything handling the signal path is important.
Even RG6 coax, and snap 'n seal (or equiv) connectors.

I'm sure we can recommend specific items.

and give at least state.
Nearest big city would help, too.

Some satellites cannot be received everywhere.

We don't care if you are outside the "lower 48", either.
We've got (a few) members in Hawaii, Alaska, all over Mexico, some Central American, Caribbean...(who did I leave out?).
Oh, and a boat-load in Canada, of course!

So, if there is anything area-specific to a satellite you're trying to get, someone will spot it.

Only = C = range reception +Mobility Beam.
Mobility not to beam channels

I suppose that is why I never got anything on ku at 58w ! Never looked at the footprint before, the c-band does come in just fine here though.
